You will need to remove approximately 1/4" of each of the spar caps to accomodate the center panel end ribs. Tape the ends of the caps and mark them accordingly. Cut off using a rotary tool (preferably with a diamond-wheel cutting disc). The tape ensures that you get a clean cut with no splintering. The spar tube itself will be sanded later.
