The first steps in construction are to make the hard points in the wing halves, join the panels and mount the wing to the fuselage as all other construction hinges around the wing for proper alignment of all flying surfaces.
If you inspect the wing saddle of the fuselage you will note front and rear wing mounting plates. The object is to have the wing mounting bolts locate approximately in the center of each plate. There is a little tollerance here so don’t panic if you are 1/8th front or back..
Location of the wing on the saddle is obviously also variable. The plane is designed to balance with recomended gear if built according to instructions. If the wing is placed &fraction farther foreward, for instance, the nose moment has been shortened and will likely require some nose weight to balance. It will still fly fine, just be heavier.
Place one of the wing halfs on the wing saddle located just far enough foreward for the wing to make good contact with the saddle. This should not place the Leading Edge of the wing more than 1/4″ to 3/8″ ahead of the saddle. Locate approximate wing bolt locations and with a magic marker mark the location of the hard point cut outs on the wing cores. These cut outs will be approximately 1/2″ inch long, centered on the bolt location. Place the cores bottom to bottom and transfer marks to second wing half.
