DLG Battery Packs
We offer a very lightweight, 250 mAh NiMH pack, 4 cells, in a 1 plus 3 configuration.
The 1 plus 3 configuration fits into the nose of your hand launch glider, and puts these lightweight packs (25 grams) up front where they can do the most good.
Many of us work hard to reduce the nose and tail weights. For the best balance between light weight and capacity, these packs are perfect. (If a plane has the room and it needs more nose weight, use a heavier and higher capacity pack.)
Depending on the minimum cell voltage used during a discharge/charge cycle and the charger used, we can put 222 to 272 mA in a pack during forming or full discharge / charge cycling. With a FMA M5 receiver, JR-241 rudder servo, HS-55 or smaller elevator servo, and two D-60 wing servos, the theoretical run time is well over an hour. We swap these packs out at 45 minutes and never worry.
At contests we use a battery tester and look for at least 5 volts. If it shows less than 5 volts under load testing, the pack goes to recharging.
Order this pack from the “Accessories” page.
