ORACLE 93″ E-sailplane for ALES

The Oracle is a 93″ electric sailplane specifically designed by Polecat for the new ALES class of electric soaring.  Why the name?  It thermals like it is truly being called from above:-)  She is hand made right here in America in the Polecat shop from the best materials available.  Full house, rudder, elevator, ailerons and flaps make it infinitely controllable in the air and during landing.  We are extremely proud of the ORACLE as the first in our line of electric sailplanes.

Testimonial from the owner of the very first production “Oracle”

I purchased an Oracle about 3 or 4 weeks ago.  I am using the Motrolfly 2220 motor, Castle Thunderbird 56 ESC, Thunder Power 1300 mAh, 45C G6 Pro Performance battery, Hitec HS-56′s for the aileron servos, HS-65 Karbonites for the elevator and rudder, and HS-65 metal gears for the flaps.  My radio is an Aurora 9 with an Optima 7 receiver.

I have flown this model 5 or 6 times and I’m loving it more and more each time.  I have Randy’s CAM module installed but I haven’t timed it yet.  I can tell you, it doesn’t take long to reach the 200 meter cut off point.  On the maiden flight, I made a 2 or 3 click pitch adjustment and that was all that was needed.  The all-flying stab makes it really easy to find the sweet spot.  It will definitely let you know where the lift is and even a low-time sailplane pilot like me can recognize it.

I have the butterfly set up on my throttle stick and glideslope and speed is easily modulated.  There’s nothing better than seeing that big bird coming towards you and knowing you can control where it will land.

I thank Fred for offering this product and commend Denny on designing another excellent model.

Although it’s been a while since the Polecat/Soaring Circuits meet, I would like to thank everyone for being so kind and helping this “newbie”.
