XP-5 Poly, ahead of the curve!

All of the innovations of the new XP-5 in a poly planform.

Wing

• Blend of Dr. Mark Drela’s AG12, AG13, AG14 airfoils
• Reduced area and different sweep distribution allows for more aft peg placement for better launch!
• New, very thin, light wingtips allow for even better handling and better wind penetration!
• A bit of wing twist for handling – with no rudder pre-set!

Fuselage & Tails

• Same as standard XP-5
• Streamlined and slimmer carbon-fiber/kevlar fuselage pod
• Reduced and narrowed pylon reduces weight
• Polecat Aeroplane Works custom tailboom
• Nearly 3/4 oz. weight savings over XP-4 fuselage

All of this combines for a state-of-the-art, competition-ready plane that can be built in the 8 ounce range.  Early production ships ranged in weight from 8.5 to 8.8 oz, depending on builder.  Denny’s "heavy" plane weights 8.75oz!  These weights can be attained by using our custom 250mah battery packs, Polk x-Micro 4.7g servos, Hitec Electron 6 receivers and our switch-jacks.
