Polecat Conquers Brazil!

Date posted: February 28, 2006

Our friends Mario de Lucca and Marlon Luz waaaaay down south in Brazil wrote in to tell us that the 2nd-ever HLG contest in Brazil was held recently, and Polecat Aero XP-4′s took three out of the four top spots!  Held in Itu, 25 kilometers south of Sao Paolo, they had 13 competitors.

From Mario:

This weekend we had our 2nd HLG contest, finally I win !!! ( flying XP4,5 of course)  It’s a great model much better than my NoName….. Congratulations!!!!

I’m at 1st place with XP-4.5, Marlon was in 2nd place with XP4, Andre Yamim was in 3th place with NoName, Keneth was at 4th place with XP-4.5

Handlaunch soaring is sweeping the globe, and Polecat is proud to be represented by folks like Mario, Marlon and a their entire group.

In fact, so excited are we about international competition, that we are making an exciting offer to all international (non-North American) pilots: Any International Pilot that attends the 2006 Polecat Challenge will receive a FREE XP-4 kit! That’s right – FREE. You have to live outside the US, Canada or Mexico.

Get ‘em while the getting is good!

Due to rising costs in the composite market, Polecat Aero will be slightly raising the prices on kits come March 1st – not too much, mind you – but if you’d like to avoid the hike, get to ordering this week!

Also, we are very close to fully integrating the Paypal shopping cart into the site!  You do not have to have a Paypal account to use it – Paypal accepts many major credit cards.  You can try out the new shopping cart system by buying an XP-4/XP-4.5 kit before the price increase!  Give it a shot, and let Denny know if you have any problems.  We will be pushing the Paypal cart out to the other Polecat products very soon.

One last thing – Please do keep in mind that we don’t keep stock for everything, and there may be a wait on some items, especially as the flying season approaches – so just because you have ordered it through Paypal’s extremely simple cart system we may not have it in stock directly! Feel free to contact Denny directly at the phone number below regarding stock and order status.

And the lists keep growing!

The sponsorship and registration lists for the 2006 Polecat Challenge just keep growing and it’s only February!

We’ve got nearly 30 registrants already, so be sure to sign up for the contest early to get your channel reserved. Aside from the Expert and Sportsman classes, we’ve added a GEEZER class for those 55+, and if we get enough folks, we’ll be running a 50″ “Limited” class like we did last year!

On the sponsorship side, we’ve got 17 of the biggest names in our hobby contributing thousands of dollars of prizes for what is easily one of the biggest raffles in the soaring world. Expect for the list of vendors to grow, too – the PoleCat Corporate Sponsorship Division is in full swing to give you a chance to win some of the best equipment in the hobby.

So, get registered and keep an eye on the Polecat Challenge 2006!
